Whoa! Is She Wearing a Head Wrap? Celebrities tend to make people stop and look, so I say kudos to Alicia Keys for embracing the Head Wrap. The Head Wrap, with Sub-Sahara African origins is back on everyone’s radar, a fashion phenomenon in today’s society, especially here in the United States and has a holdContinue reading “The Head Wrap: It’s Here to SLAY”
Inside of my head… I was born in October, but I am a summertime lady. I love warm weather! I love being hot! I don’t mind glistening due to a slight sweat. Give me 85 degrees, hardwood floors, a house with sheer linen over large open windows, and a nice breeze moved by strong trees. I’ll take a fan if it’s on the ceiling to keep me cool. I’ll take a glass of the finest sangria, thank you. That is what I call summer magic… Also, I need a hat… I think I need a hat.

RLC is my business bestie and active member of my tribe. She has a ton of accolades associated with her, but for the purpose of this note, she is my AE (short for Alter Ego-long story) and she motivates me to write. Her current doctoral studies have influenced me to pay closer attention to social media and its affect on my life. I must admit that my timeline is filled with a lot of motivational images, videos, and memes that have influenced me. I have arrived at this moment, and this is how I feel in this moment. So I decided to write a note to myself, because this moment must be captured. It’s too important to drown it in Pinot Noir. I need this moment to count for something other than internal shock.
